Market Insights Boulder County
Boulder County continues to have low inventory with 18% fewer homes for sale in July 2016 compared to July 2015. Year to date transaction sides are down 7.1%. Currently, we are experiencing somewhat of a slowdown of activity in the market which is not uncommon in an election year. The limited inventory and the sense of instability that Buyers are currently feeling contributed to the number of units being sold in July to be 22% lower than last year. We still saw Median Sales Price up 11.1% from last year for July and Average Sales Price up 10.3%. These are still extremely strong numbers when compared to last year’s numbers.
Last year we had strong growth of new listings in the same time period, but did not have the same growth when looking at Median Sales Price and Average Sales price. July 2015 compared to July 2014, Median Sales Price was up 3.6% and Average Sales price was up 5.1%. Since price is a lagging indicator of activity in the market, these numbers make sense. Based on the current activity, we would expect to see appreciation begin to slow moving into 2017.

This exhibition will give visitors a behind-the-scenes view of how these rolling works of art are created. From pinstriping to upholstery, hydraulics to wheels, visitors will discover the varied skills needed to craft these beauties. Lowriders: Cars and Culture will feature cars, custom bicycles, pinstriping and upholstery examples, old-school military hydraulics, vintage posters, magazines and historic accessories all related to the lowrider scene.
