Lyons is a small and intimate community of artists, musicians, and outdoor enthusiasts residing at the base of the North and South St. Vrain Canyons that provide direct access to Rocky Mountain National Park just 20 miles west of town. Lyons celebrates art, culture, and music throughout the year with live music and art exhibitions in its many coffee shops and restaurants, a summer art walk, and annual RockyGrass and Rocky Mountain Folks Festival music festivals. Resources for hiking, camping, fishing, climbing, biking, and kayaking make Lyons a mecca for active families and individuals. Lyons has a strong focus on sustainability, and is committed to working with the residential and commercial communities to lessen the impact the town has on the environment. On the annual Spring Clean-Up Day, the Lyons provides residents with the opportunity to dispose of items that are not collected by haulers, followed by a community-wide Spring Yard Sale.
